Do you grow or forage your own Herbs?Fairy Herbology does grow and responsibly forage some herbs for use but it would be impossible to grow or forage for the large volume of herbs needed to maintain our online shop. For this reason, we purchase the majority of our herbs from reputable sources. It is our hope to some day be able to grow at least 50% of our mostly used herbs ourselves.
-

It is only ethical that you should be informed and given choice as to what you put in and on your body.

What is clinical herbalism?A clinical herbalist is a holistic practitioner that has extensive formal education and training that gives them a more technical and scientific approach to understanding the way herbs work, how the body responds, and what is necessary to support good health. At this time we do not have a certified clinical herbalist on our staff.

Is Cassandra a doctor? No. She is not a medical doctor and does not have a license to practice medicine. Cassandra is an herbalist and while she does have several certifications, she is not a doctor nor is she currently considered a holistic practitioner specializing in clinical herbalism. Allopathic medicine and holistic healthcare are not the same thing. The allopathic approach is typically one that diagnoses disease and treats symptoms making you more comfortable living with the disease. Holistic healthcare aims to take that medical diagnosis and work on combating the root cause by supporting the body with natural allies, such as herbs. While there are definitely herbs which can be and are used to address the discomfort of symptoms, it is always the goal of a holistic practitioner to assist you in adopting healthier lifestyle habits that will ideally result in the reversal of disease where possible.
-
Can I place a custom order?Absolutely! While everything might be able to be customized, if you see something you want, but would like a different EO or are allergic to a specific ingredient and would like an alternative, we will work with you on your personal needs.
-
Do you use plastic packaging?Fairy Herbology avoids plastic whenever feasible in manufacturing, packaging, and shipping. Our dropper bottles are glass, salve containers are metal or glass, and bags are compostable kraft paper. While we do have some lotions and lip balms currently in use with plastic we've been switching over to other methods for these as to use the stock we have but not re-ordering those containers. We are constantly striving to improve in this area and have ambitions of one day being a plastic free company.
-
Do you take bulk orders?Yes. Looking for office gifts, wedding gifts, or a wholesale order, the order is yes. You will need to reach out to us through our contact form and advise which product(s) you're wanting, what the occasion is, quantity you're seeking to purchase, and any additional information you can provide to us. We typically respond with 24-48 business hours and may have additional questions depending on what you did or did not provide. There is also a "special listings" category within our shop page for some of the most common bulk orders which have been requested.

Are Herbs safe for everyone? The short answer is yes, but also no. Like with pharmaceuticals, herbs have contraindications. It’s always best & recommended to talk with a trained clinical herbalist before adopting a new herbal product, especially internally. Many herbs are inappropriate to use if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, have preexisting conditions, or take certain pharmaceutical drugs. With that said, there’s almost always a safe herbal alternative. It’s just a matter of knowing which herb is appropriate for you. Your safety is our top priority. Unfortunately we are not considered to be a certified clinical herbalist at this time. While we will answer's you may have to the best of our ability, we recommend reaching out to a clinical herbalist and/or doing your own research before starting a new herbal regime especially if it's internally taken.
-
Do you use artificial Fragrance in your products? No, never. The scents found in Fairy Herbology products come only from the botanical themselves, the butters and oils they are made from, and the volatile oils within them. Artificial fragrances are widely known to disrupt the endocrine system, therefore we advise avoiding them whenever possible and will not use them in our own products.
-
Are your herbs organic?Fairy Herbology sources the highest quality organic herbs whenever feasible and the vast majority of our apothecary is made up of organic herbs. Some of our high quality herbs are locally grown or foraged and for that reason do not have a certified organic label attached to them.

Can you guarantee no allergens within products?Unfortunately no. Our products are manufactured in our home houses and produces products with lots of individual ingredients while also using shared equipment and tools. We do our best to sterilize these items before switching over to a new product but we can not guarantee there has been no cross contamination between ingredients.
